Dietrich seedLab
There are many gifted students from less privileged places that do not have the opportunity to join international institutions to receive proper training or to 'build' a traditional academic CV required in our profession. With this idea in mind, Dr. Marcelo Dietrich started a project named 'seedLab' in which he runs a scientific group to provide training to Latin American students. The lab functions as an incubator for students to obtain further training abroad.

Leticia is a Pharmacist with a PhD in Biochemistry. She works with Neuroscience since 1997. She is interested in the molecular basis of social and feeding behavior.
RAFAEL DAI PRÁ
MASTER STUDENT (2016 - present)
Rafael is a Master student who decided to leave a place surrounded by bioreactors, fungi and biofuels to explore the mysteries of the brain. He joined the Dietrich seedLab in 2016 as an undergraduate student and is interested in the neural basis of fundamental naturalistic behaviors, such as the infant-mother relationship. On a personal note, he enjoys learning new languages, technology and sports.
He is currently furthering his training in the Dietrich Lab at Yale University.

André finished his undergraduate studies in Biomedicine and joined our lab in 2017 as a Master student. André is interested in the development of sexual behavior in mammals. In his personal life, André is a passionate pretender cook and dancer.

Delva has a BA in Biotechnology from Universidade Federal de Pelotas and a Master in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Delva joined our lab in 2017 as a bioinformatician to use NGS tools to study the origins of behavior diversity in mammals.

GABRIEL BALDISSERA
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT (2017 - present)
Gabriel is in the fourth year of his biological sciences undergraduate degree at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. His scientific experience is more related to bioinformatics, since he has been developing projects within the systems biology field in the last few years. Gabriel joined our lab in 2017 and he aims to develop both experimental and bioinformatics skills, having neuroscience as the main target. Outside of the lab, he really enjoys studying history, literature and languages.
